Passion for Flamenco

This is something I did for my mother as a present for Mother's Day (In Spain we celebrate it the 1st Sunday of May). My mother loves flamenco and she loves to dance and sing it too. So I wanted to do something that represent what she loves (flamenco) combined with what I love (manga, art, painting) and I designed this beautiful dancer. For the colors I also wanted to combine her favourite color (yellow) with mine (blue) and I think they are a perfect combination!^^

But I must admit that I also had a secret reason to do this... the truth is I did a drawing of a flamenco dancer for her years ago and she had that drawing hanged on the wall and since my drawing have evolved since then, I wanted her to take that drawing down because it has so so many mistakes and put something new and better done instead. But that didn't work out as I wanted because she ended up hanging both of them in the wall. (She's my mother after all ).

I also painted and decorated the frame in which I put this drawing. I wasn't sure if I should publish this on my social media since it's a personal gift I did for my mother but my mother insisted that I should post it. Maybe I will post a picture with the frame and another one with the comparison between the old drawing and the new one tomorrow...
